A small city in Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley is about thirty minutes south of downtown San Jose, and six miles from the city of Santa Cruz. Scotts Valley was named for John Scott, who discovered gold at Scott’s Bar.

Since the very beginning, Scotts Valley has served as a stop on the stage route across the mountains to travelers. To this date, the city has been commercialized and tourism developed as a local industry. Some of the biggest companies that work in Scotts Valley includes Bell Sports, Inc. Aviza, Fox Racing Shox, and many more.
